The words “missing” and “tampering" have been used all too frequently when describing the handling of  evidence. DSM Evidence Handling Systems have been designed to ensure that deposited evidence remains within the "Chain of Custody" until removed and processed into the property room by authorized personnel.

Ensuring the proper handling of case evidence from the time of collection to logging is and has been an on going problem. Unmanned property rooms during off-duty hours and poorly designed locker systems are part of the problem.  DSM's Evidence Storage Locker System have unattended access and can maintain 'Chain of Custody' of all deposited evidence by providing safe and secure storage at any time.

DSM's Evidence Locker Handling System will ensure that:

  1. Any future access to evidence by the depositor is denied.
  2. Once deposited, only authorized personnel can remove evidence.

Keys or combination codes are not required, by depositor, to access system.
